The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, accompanied by the Mayor of Aledo, Simon Alcaraz, today visited the nature reserve of 'The Slopes', which extends over 3,000 square meters and has been subject to recovery by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning in collaboration with the City.
"The regional government has encouraged the preparation of this environment, adjacent to the urban area of the municipality, as a public space for all residents. In addition, the works carried enhance the landscape values of Aledo, and gives visitors walk the path along the slopes of the castle, "said the CEO.
The performance includes leveling the ground through which the trail, 200 meters long, barrier removal and repair of natural stone sign "for ease of accessibility and traffic along this road which was the entrance to and the walled old town of the population, "said former regional responsibility.
Low walls have been built of wooden beams and stones and rubbish bins have been placed wooden benches, as well as information panels to inform visitors of the history and characteristics of the environment.

The performance has been funded with 20,000 euros, is part of the line of support offered by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning to local corporations and nonprofit institutions, designed to preserve and enhance the landscapes of the region.
