This action is another heritage restoration projects in Aledo, the consolidation of the wall paintings

The Ministry of Public Works and Planning promotes comprehensive reform of the square of the City of Aledo through grant writing project for rehabilitation.

This action is part of the aid program initiatives of the municipalities to improve the adequacy of public spaces.

The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, said the importance of this action "is that the area is included in a declared of Cultural Interest, in the most characteristic of the medieval town of Aledo."

So, are near the Tower of Calahorra, the remains of the castle, the church of Santa María la Real and the City Council.

The refurbishment works will be carried out over an area of 3,500 square meters.

This will create a pedestrian zone to unify the entire entertainment area and enhance the image of the real estate environment.

This will provide "a significant landscape values that contribute to the use and enjoyment of the place by the citizens," said Navarro.

The director general added that "we also will build a new gazebo that will be added to the project of restoring the paintings of the wall, already under way. This is a step in the architectural conservation plan of the municipality."
