The general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies, Antonio Luis Mula, met today with Mayor Aledo, Francisco Javier Andreo, to discuss matters related to the Local Police force and the municipality's Civil Protection service.Mula declared that "the Aledo City Council will be able to count, for the first time, with a Local Police force, given the conditions that allow compliance with the Law of Coordination of Local Police in the Region of Murcia".

Thus, the consistory will incorporate two agents in the coming months, with financial support linked to the 'Program of aid to local police in the municipalities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia 2021-2025'.The new program, endowed with 94.2 million euros, articulates the necessary mechanisms to promote the creation by the municipalities of 600 new officers in the next five years, reaching 2,850 agents among the 45 municipalities of the Region.On the other hand, the general director and the mayor of Aledo evaluated the operation of the Emergency Civil Protection Plan for Forest Fires in the Region of Murcia (Infomur) in the municipality and analyzed the possibility that the members of the Municipal Protection Group Civil can be part of the training Plan of the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies, next year.
